About David
DCB Productions is the company name under which sole trader David Brook operates. He has almost 20 years of experience in video production and other media practices.
After completing a degree in Media Production, he obtained a pair of NVQ qualifications in Camera Assistance and Editing. This 'on-the-job' training involved producing regular local news and magazine programmes for a cable TV channel. After a brief stint as a freelancer following this, David went on to work for Blueprint Film, where he stayed for over 13 years.
Wishing to work for himself after running Blueprint's Lincoln office by himself for a while, David left the company and set up DCB Productions to offer out his video and multimedia skills to Lincolnshire and beyond.
Camera Operation
With almost 20 years of experience, David is a skilled videographer. With his own 4k-capable camera, he is ready to shoot anything you require, from interviews to short films.
Video Editing
Post-production is David's speciality and he's edited countless films and videos over the years, including a few feature length films, such as Small Town Hero and Repentence.
Events Coverage
With his training in TV news and years of running and covering events with Blueprint, David is highly experienced and passionate about filming live events and producing bespoke videos to promote or document them.
Trailer Editing
David loves editing trailers and can help sell your feature or short film through a gripping, first-class teaser. He's made many for Bazooka Bunny and Blueprint: Film.
Audio Editing
David is also adept at editing audio projects. Most notably, he's produced numerous radio plays and podcasts for Shooting Fish Theatre Company, as well as creating sound effects for some of their productions.
Media Conversion
A hoarder of old pieces of kit, David has the equipment and know-how to transfer VHS tapes, camcorder cassettes and other media to modern digital formats. Prices start at £15 for the first hour of footage then £10 per hour for the rest.
